You could hear the tone in the tanoy announcers voice, even he wasn't convinced by delivering the lines concerning the late trains due to "staff problems".
I had arrived at 07:10 and the 06:48 to London (origin: Clacton) still hasn't arrived. Luckily the 07:15 was only 5 minutes late so I boarded that - as I did I heard another announcement about problems with overhead lines in the Clacton area. Again no seats on the train in standard class.
