trainspotting

Random Rendezvous

After catching up with a friend in Covent Garden (Wednesday eve) I landed at Liverpool St with twenty minutes to kill – despite a curry buffet for lunch I couldn’t resist the golden arches. In fact I didn’t realize how hungry I was, destroying a portion of large fries, whilst walking, before I’d even got on the train.

There were many seats and within seconds I’d smashed the plain quarter cheese burger. Thankfully so as shortly after a brunette (wearing fishnet tights) sat next to me. She was extremely warm and introduced herself as Sarah, pulled a MAC out of her bag, handed me a headphone and asked what film I wanted to watch…..

It was a strange encounter but free entertainment could only be embraced so after noting her collection of chick flicks and Harry Potter films Notorious (about the life of B.I.G) stood out. Ofcourse I didn’t have time to watch all of it so whilst she was on the phone to her partner I skipped some of the obvious bits….

Following this late night I mentally programmed my body clock not to wake me up too early so found myself on Colchester platform at 8am – controversially meaning I wouldn’t be at work until 9:15, hey ho I’m no fan of presentisam.

Carrying my Video Journalist camera kit and a luggage bag on wheels, for the evening’s trip to Lincoln, I boarded the train only to see my old friend Miss Phoebe Anna Daisy Rope. Initially there were no vacant seats so there was a slight stand off and banter across the carriage but then a gent offered to take a different seat and allow me to sit with PADR. Good banter and another random redendezbvous.
